Meeting Notes - March 5 2009

Here is our meeting summary for March 5, 2009.

Fun and Refreshments!
Today's meeting was a refreshing break from our normal routine. We had pizza and pop! :-) We had a short, mini-meeting. Each officer described their duties. After a short review of meeting responsibilities, we spent the remainder socializing. The turn out was encouraging.

Focus on Fundamentals!
I think in these trying times it is important to keep our heads up, stay positive and focus on what is really important in life. It is also important to stay relaxed and calm, yet alert.

I extend a special thanks to Connie, VP of Membership, for putting together today's shindig on short notice. We held a formal initiation ceremony for two of our newer members, Todd and Linda. We also had a guest today, Noah.

March Madness - Ice Cream!
I liked today's meeting so much I'm going to do it again. I'm calling an ice cream social next week! Crazy? Maybe. ;-) Call it March Madness. I'll order some Subway too to make sure we get some real food in the afternoon.

I'll end with my quote for the day: "English is a funny language--that explains why we park our car on the driveway and drive our car on the parkway."
